Chapter Beginnings
Belmont College for women opened in 1890 and later merged with Ward Seminary to become the prestigious Ward-Belmont School for Women. In 1951, the school became coeducational Belmont College. The Eta Phi Chapter was chartered on the Nashville, Tennessee, campus in 2011. The chapter was off to a great start by leading Belmont’s Greek-letter groups in scholarship.
Notable Thetas
From the very beginning, Theta alumnae have distinguished themselves in their careers and their volunteer endeavors. In fact, some are so well-known that they’re household names, and many have the distinction of being the first women in their professional fields. The archives takes this opportunity to recognize some of our more notable sisters.
