Chapter Beginnings
In Seattle during the early 1900s, a local sorority at the University of Washington named Alpha Tau Delta waited seven years to gain affiliation with Kappa Alpha Theta. When the Alpha Lambda Chapter charter was finally granted in 1908, Alpha Lambda became the first chapter established in the Pacific Northwest.
