Fabric, glitter, glue, and about 1,200 helping hands is what it took to make hundreds of children smile when they all received their own tote bags handmade by special Thetas from across the country and Canada. The 62nd Grand Convention Service Project generated more than 800 bags, which were delivered to the Guardian ad Litem group in Asheville, NC, for distribution throughout the area.

"Convention left me feeling a renewed sense of pride for my individual chapter, but even more than that it left me with a deeper appreciation of the uniqueness, honor, and strength of Kappa Alpha Theta. Through our workshops and ceremonies I saw the commitment and love with which Headquarters carries out its work. The hospitality and care with which the Texas alumni hosted the Convention showed the dedication and commitment Theta inspires. In fact, all the alumni were truly inspiring, from the recent college graduates to the 104 year old who had attended 22 of the biennium conventions. Lastly, the collegians with their energy and idealism displayed the exciting future of our dynamic fraternity."
