Grand Convention 2024 will be hosted at the beautiful Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD. Officially starting the morning of Friday, July 12 and ending on Saturday evening, July 13, Grand Convention is an event to connect and reconnect with other Thetas in addition to conducting the official—and important!—business of the Fraternity.
Here are three reasons why you should attend Grand Convention this summer:
1. Network with other Thetas. Grand Convention is Kappa Alpha Theta’s main event every two years where Thetas from all over North America convene for Theta business and Theta fun. Not only can you reunite with sisters from your chapter, but it’s the perfect time to meet new Thetas!
2. Experience unique Theta ritual. Services such as Nikê, Procession, and the Grand Convention Banquet take place only at Grand Conventions. There will also be an initiation ceremony for an alumna initiate!
3. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of National Harbor. Grand Convention 2024 is set in the beautiful and historic National Harbor, MD, the perfect spot for a reunion with your closest Theta sisters or a fun-filled vacation with family. Many attractions are nearby, including MGM National Harbor, the Capital Wheel, and National Harbor Waterfront. Washington D.C., home to an endless array of sightseeing hotspots, is less than 30 minutes away.
All the information you need about Grand Convention 2024 is found on the Grand Convention website: http://grandconvention.kappaalphatheta.org, including the order of events, fees, educational programming that’s being offered to non-delegates, and a list of who’s attending. The deadline to register is Sunday, March 31.
We hope to see you in National Harbor in July!
