The Foundation for Fraternal Excellence (FFE) hosts its annual conference in Indianapolis, IN, every year. It is the premier gathering for fraternity and sorority foundation staff and volunteers to network with peers and learn about best practices. Aside from the educational component, there is also an awards ceremony to honor significant contributions to the field. Both North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) organizations have the opportunity to submit applications for nine award categories. The applications are reviewed and evaluated by volunteers, and winners are selected for each category.

Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation was recognized in two of the awards categories this year!

First, Theta Foundation received an honorable mention in the Best Development Effort in an Annual Campaign category for the Theta for Good program. Theta for Good provides our college chapters the opportunity to support local nonprofits while also supporting Theta Foundation through their fundraising events, allowing them to exercise the widest influence for good.

Second, Theta Foundation won in the Best Stewardship Effort category for the scholarships directory on the Theta website. The directory was created by Theta Foundation Programs Director Mary Kate Smith as a way to collect and preserve the inspiration behind our many scholarship funds. While we do collect high-level, logistical information during establishment of these funds, we were missing the unique stories behind these generous gifts. She wanted to ensure our donors know their stories are being told, and that those stories would live on forever. The directory is managed by Theta Foundation Programs Manager Bailyn Dupont with contributions made by Theta Foundation's stewardship committee.
